Re: So, I was recently gifted with a tablet |
Thanks FB. I do think I like it.
I am also reading a book old school (Winchester's 'Atlantic' which is sadly not up to his usual standards- so far) and I have had thoughts that this might be the last time...
>she has over 1300 books. That's alot of romance FB!
I am surprised by the pricing. There are many kindle books coming in at a higher price point then hardcover of the same. Added cost because of reformatting? Plenty of free or under $2.99 books to love me long time.

hehee
I don't think all of it is romance, but I'd bet 70% of it is. She likes mystery stuff as well.
She also admitted that alot of it she may never even read.
Alot of it she only gets because it is free. It is a chance
to try new authors without any risk.
But, I agree that some of the prices do seem a bit excessive. She has been rewarded numerous times by refusing to pay those prices for things she really wanted, only to find that at some future date she was able to get them cheap or even free. Like I sais, 2.99 is pretty much her price threshold, and even at that she thinks long and hard before buying. It's funny,I give her a hard time because there is some kind of bookshelf app that she can get that would help better organize things more efficiently, but she refuses to buy it because it costs like 4 or 5 dollars.
Anyway...glad you are enjoying your tablet. I imagine I will get one someday, but I'm not there yet. To me paper books will always have a place. Even if for nothing else than looking really cool filling up a book case!
